By Our Staff Reporter

PATHANAMTHITTA MAY 21. The Transport Minister, K. B. Ganesh Kumar, has said that the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) would launch 30 short wheel-based mini-buses in the hilly tracts of Punalur, Pathanapuram and Munnar in the next one week itself.

Talking to reporters here today, the Minister said the 30-seater mini bus service would be launched from KSRTC depots at Munnar, Punalur and Pathanapuram as a pilot project and it would be extended to more depots after assessing the financial viability.

Mr. Ganesh Kumar said that the KSRTC buses were soon to get a modern design and colour in tune with the changing times and the new model buses with aluminium body would hit the roads in the next few weeks.
