By Our Staff Reporter
Mr. Hasan Ahmed, a prominent minority leader, social worker and active in Delhi politics for the past two decades, has held many important positions in the Delhi Congress and AICC. Although, the party had announced the nomination of Mr. Ahmed for this post in January this year, but his appointment was held back for the past five months due to certain objections raised by Raj Niwas. Reacting to his appointment, Mr. Ahmed thanked the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, AICC general secretary, Kamal Nath and Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit, for giving him an opportunity to serve the people. "I will do my best to solve the problems faced by big and small scale industrial units and coordinate with the Delhi Government in ensuring that DSIDC performs to the optimum level,'' he added.
