Nataraj ousts Gautam

HYDERABAD MAY 22. Unseeded Nityesh Nataraj of Tamil Nadu shocked top-seeded and Statemate Sendur Gautam 6-1, 4-1 (conceded) in the boys under-16 pre-quarterfinals of the AITA South Zone junior tennis tournament for boys and girls (under-14 & 16 years) being organised by Tennis Players Parents Association and sponsored by T.L. Prasad Foundation at Begumpet Public School here today.

Nityesh was in fine form as he controlled the pace of the game to his advantage and was all set to wrap up the issue clean and straight when his opponent conceded the tie, complaining cramps.

Nityesh also moved into the quarterfinals of the boys' under-14 with a 6-1, 6-0 win over P. Ravitej of Andhra Pradesh.
