Cash award for toppers

Pondicherry May 22. The 186 students who secured first rank in their respective group of subjects in the Plus Two examinations will be presented a cash award of Rs. 10,000 each by the Department of Education of the Pondicherry administration, the Education Minister, K. Lakshminarayanan, told reporters on Monday.

The prize scheme was confined to government schools only. The list of names of the students was being collected and the amount would be disbursed shortly.
