3 years RI for Benazir

Islamabad May 22 .A Pakistani accountability court has awarded a three-year sentence to self -exiled former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, for her failure to appear before a court in connection with a corruption case.

Mohammad Masoor Ali Khan, Judge of an Accountability Court in Rawalpindi, awarded three years of rigorous imprisonment in absentia to Ms. Benazir and nine senior executives of a Swiss company to which she had allegedly granted a government contract after accepting a commission, , The Nation, a local daily, reported today. — PTI
