Four more flights from Kochi soon

By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI MAY 23. Four additional flights will soon be started to Kochi.

These include the Kochi-Paris-New York Air India flight, the Indian Airlines flight to Australia, the Sri Lankan Airlines flight to Colombo and the Air India flight to Mali, the Minister for Tourism and Fisheries, K.V. Thomas said.

Permission has been given for the Colombo flight. A hub has been planned with Nedumbassery as centre, for short and medium-range planes. A maintenance facility too will be there.

Once the 40 per cent tax being imposed by the State Government on aviation fuel is brought down, the air charge to the Gulf could be brought down.
