Letters to the Editor
Sir, With the killing of the Hurriyat leader, Abdul Gani Lone, militants have sent a couple of disturbing messages to New Delhi. One, that they would leave no stone unturned in stalling the coming elections in Jammu and Kashmir and two, that all those who speak or act against their interests would be silenced. Such an attitude makes it all the more challenging for the Vajpayee Government to not only hold peaceful elections in Kashmir but also keep the "fidayeen" at bay. V. Rajesh, Mumbai
