Normal monsoon predicted

HYDERABAD MAY 25. The seasonal rainfall predicted for the Peninsular India under the South-West monsoon, effective for the period from June to September, will be 99 per cent on average.

The forecast for the season was released on Saturday by the India Meteorological Department. The monsoon will advance into Kerala coast around June 1. The normal date of its touching the State, normally in the southern tip of Rayalaseema region, is June 5. The normal date of its advance into Hyderabad on June 8.
