Letters to the Editor
Sir, It is increasingly becoming clear that fissures have appeared in the Pakistani establishment regarding its Kashmir policy. The Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf wants to emulate Ataturk and go down history as a person who steered forward the nation from `jehadi' elements. The ISI and a section of the army are increasingly asserting themselves. India has to tone down its war rhetoric and use diplomatic means to put pressure on Pakistan to change its policy of supporting cross-border terrorism.
