Workshop on referal health system

Hyderabad May 27 . The World Bank, in association with the Andhra Pradesh Government, is a conducting a two-day national workshop at Ramoji Film City near here on "AP First Referal Health System Project--Lessons Learnt'' for the benefit of those involved in implementation of such projects with its funds, in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

The World Bank has selected Andhra Pradesh as the venue for the meeting, treating it as a role-model in project execution.

Announcing these details at a press conference here on Monday, S. E. Sekhar Babu, Project Director for Andhra Pradesh First Referal Health System Project, and N. S. Rao, a Joint Commissioner (Zonal), Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (APVVP), the government agency implementing the project here, said the workshop would be inaugurated by the Health Minister, N. Janardhan Reddy.
