Sajjad reiterates charge against Farooq

By Our Correspondent

Handwara May 27 . The newly-appointed Chairman of the People's Conference, Sajjad Lone, younger son of the assassinated Hurriyat leader, Abdul Gani Lone, today reiterated his charge that the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah, was responsible for the death of his father.

Addressing a congregation at Handwara, ancestral town of Lone, where a rally was organised in honour of the leader, he alleged that the person ``who could have gained the maximum'' from his father's death was Dr. Farooq Abdullah.

Mr. Sajjad Lone thanked the people for their sympathy to his family. He said his father always stood for de-escalating violence in the State and for a peaceful solution of the Kashmir.
