11 jawans killed

IMPHAL MAY 24. At least 11 Assam Rifles personnel were killed in an ambush by the NSCN (IM) and the Kuki Revolutionary Army at Sanakeithel area under the Litan police station of Manipur's Ukhrul district today.

Sources said the combined group of ultras sprayed a barrage of bullets on the vehicle carrying the jawans, who had gone to Sanakeithel to salvage a bulldozer. — UNI
