PM returning today

MANALI MAY 27. The Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, is returning to New Delhi tomorrow, cutting short his visit.

Mr. Vajpayee, who stayed indoors, cleared a number of files which were brought here by an air force chopper.

According to sources, he talked over telephone to his Cabinet colleagues, especially the Defence Minister, George Fernandes, and the External Affairs Minister, Jaswant Singh, in the wake of the Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf's statement on entering Indian territory and Islamabad's missile tests.
