Rain, hailstorm lash Delhi

NEW DELHI MAY 27. Heavy rain accompanied by hailstorm lashed the capital this evening bringing respite from the month-long intense heat wave which has gripped the entire north India.

At least 1.4 mm of rainfall was recorded till late in the evening as the downpour continued.

The Mateorological Department forecast heavy to moderate rainfall during the next 24 hours.

Temperature is expected to go down further in the next two days, it said. — PTI
