According to police, Navaram, a native of Rajasthan, was the manager of a home appliances firm located in a three-storied building on B.V.K. Iyengar Road in the Chickpet police station limits. Navaram stayed in a room on the third floor of the building. He was last seen on Sunday, when he went out at around 11 p.m. On Monday morning, two youths who stayed on the same floor as Navaram found the door of his room ajar. As Navaram did not respond to their call, they went into the room. The youths found his body in a pool of blood.
Credit card misused
A salesman of a shoe shop, who used a credit card left behind by a customer to buy goods worth more than Rs. 50,000, has been arrested by the Bangalore City police. According to police, Animesh Gupta went to the shoe shop located on Commercial Street on May 19. After purchase, he forgot to take back his credit card. Mr. Gupta contacted the bank on telephone and asked it to "block" the card so that no purchases could be made. He was told that the card had been used to buy goods worth Rs. 59,000. He filed a complaint with the Commercial Street police, who took immediate action and arrested Aslam Khan, a salesman of the shop. During interrogation, Aslam reportedly admitted that he had not returned Mr. Gupta's card. Aslam allegedly used the card to buy three mobile telephones and clothes.
Woman held
A woman, who allegedly stole money from her employer's house on Cunningham Road, was arrested by the Bangalore City police on Friday. According to police, Bharati (33), a maidservant, used the stolen cash to buy gold jewellery. A resident of 11th Cross, Seethappa Layout, Cholanayakanahalli, in R.T. Nagar, she was arrested by the Cubbon Park police, and gold and silver articles worth Rs. 55,000 reportedly recovered from her.
