Six held for Lone's murder

New Delhi May 27. The Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested six persons for the assassination of the Hurriyat leader, Abdul Ghani Lone, Star News reported today.

Quoting police sources in Srinagar, it reported that the six were sympathisers of various terrorist groups, particularly the Hizb-ul Mujahideen, the Lashker-e-Taiba and the Jaish-e-Mohammad. The identity of those arrested was, however, not revealed.

Lone was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen at Idgah ground in Srinagar on May 21 at a public meeting. — PTI
