100 Maoists killed

KATHMANDU MAY 28. Over 100 Maoists and five soldiers were killed when the Maoists attacked an army post in Rolpa district, about 300 km west of Kathmandu, sources said.

The rebels attacked the army post last night with weapons looted from the army barracks in Dang district in November last year.

The clash between the army and the Maoists lasted for over six hours.

According to the Western Army headquarters in Nepalgunj, bodies of at least 100 Maoists had been recovered so far.— PTI
