According to the police, at 8.30 p.m. when Mr. Goyal was working at his iron fabrication unit in Subhash Park Extension area in Shahdara, two unidentified youths on a two-wheeler stopped near his unit, fired in the direction where the Sena leader was working and fled from the scene. Though some glass panes were broken, no one sustained any serious injury in the shootout. Mr. Goyal is safe. The police soon reached the spot and after interrogating eyewitnesses, launched a hunt to nab assailants. The entire area was gripped by tension because of the incident and the police had to intensify vigil to avert any reaction to the incident. Later, the Sena leader claimed that one of his workers had sustained bullet injury. He had been receiving threats from militants for the past few months and had requested authorities to increase his security cover, the Sena leader added.
