Gyanendra to visit India

KATHMANDU MAY 31. King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev will make his first ever-foreign trip to India from June 23 after his accession to the throne last June. During his weeklong trip, Queen Komal Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah will accompany the King, a Royal Palace announcement said today.

King Gyanendra, who was declared King after the killing of King Birendra and other family members in the Royal Palace massacre last year, would meet the President, K R Narayanan, the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, the statement said. — PTI
