Lone's son in APHC panel

Srinagar June 3. Bilal Gani Lone, elder son of the slain leader of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference, Abdul Gani Lone, was today inducted into the 23-member amalgam of separatist parties.

Mr. Bilal was nominated as the executive member of the APHC at a supreme council meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC), founded by his father, on May 25.

While Mr. Bilal replaces his father in the Hurriyat executive, his younger brother, Sajjad, takes over as chairman of the JKPC.

The meeting was called at the APHC's headquarters at Rajbagh here to pay tributes to the slain leader.
