Letters to the Editor
Sir, This has reference to the Indo-Pakistani talks on the Indus water treaty. The Jhelum and the Chenab originate in India and flow into Pakistan. Why should India be soft on Pakistan on the issue of water? Since Pakistan is behaving like an enemy, why should we show mercy? India should cancel the treaty and build dams on the rivers to stop them flowing into Pakistan. When a scarcity of water arises, Pakistan will learn how to behave like a good neighbour.
Varun Chhachhar,
