Suspended

CHANDIGARH JUNE 5. Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu was today suspended as Chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission, 69 days after his arrest for his alleged involvement in a cash-for-job scam.

Mr. Sidhu was arrested on March 25 while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 5 lakhs from a job aspirant.

The arrest led to the exposure of a scam in the Commission which makes recommendations for Government jobs. — PTI
