Humanism across

Sir, — The Prime Minster, Atal Behari Vajpayee, has proposed joint patrolling by India and Pakistan along the Line of Control. Whether this proposal is accepted and materialises or not only time will tell.

In the meantime, why not India and Pakistan form a joint cricket team that can play exhibition matches, with the proceeds being given to the victims of terrorism in both countries. Cross-border terrorism replaced by cross-border humanism.

Frank Victor,
Chennai
