Militants kill four VDC men

Jammu June 8 . Militants killed four Village Defence Committee personnel in Udhampur district of Jammu late last night.

Police sources said a group of militants entered Tilloo vilage in Mahore Tehsil and challenged the VDC personnel. In the encounter that followed, the four — Nazir Mohammad, Abdul , Saghi Mohammad and Shaffi Mohammad — were killed.

In another encounter this afternoon, three Army jawans were killed by ultras in the Loran area of Poonch sector.
