The former Hurriyat chairman, arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, was brought here and lodged in the Birsa Munda Central jail. To a query, he said he was not aware of the Government's intentions. Speaking to the news channel, Aaj Tak, after his arrest in New Delhi, Mr. Geelani said his arrest was ``politically motivated.'' ``We stand for peace in Jammu and Kashmir and want a permanent resolution of the Kashmir issue.''
