Sir, Can we think of a business where one invests Rs.1,433 and gets Rs. 1,200 cash to invest in three months, apart from shares worth Rs. 1,000, disposable property worth Rs. 1,000 and a running business with assets of an undefined amount? Yes, if the amount is crores and the business is a PSU. It is disturbing that the debate on the Tata-VSNL issue is not being portrayed as a case of gross undervaluation, but as an issue about whether the Government should have a say in the matter. If PSU companies are undervalued by such a massive amount, why is it that competition does not bid higher? Or is there an understanding amongst the various players which the public does not know about? Shailesh Gandhi, Mumbai
