Sudhakar Babu off to a flyer

VIJAYAWADA JUNE 10. Top-seeded N. Sudhakar Babu (Elo 2398) was off to a flying start with a 19-move win over un-rated Karma H. Pandy in the first round of the `Immortal Five' memorial FIDE-rated all India open chess tournament at the Gymkhana Club here on Monday.

In his pet King's Indian Defence, Sudhakar dominated the game. Once he forced his knight into the rival citadel he wrapped up the issue in just 20 minutes.
