People's choice

Sir, — The choice of the Presidential candidate, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, not only represents the choice of NDA or other political groups, he is also the people's choice. Every citizen must be proud. The choice has only added to the office of the President the kind of stature it requires, for this post has been held by such eminent personalities like Sarvepalli S. Radhakrishnan. The choice should go beyond political/caste and other considerations and should truly reflect the role of the nation building.
