Mexico, Italy qualify

Yokohama (Japan) June 13. Mexico and Italy qualified for the last 16 of the World Cup from Group G today.

Mexico topped the group with a 100 per cent record after drawing 1-1 with the Italians in the final game. Italy finished with four points one ahead of Croatia who lost 0-1 to Ecuador to go out.
