Hotel sealed for non-payment of rent

CHENNAI June 16. A hotel functioning on the Omandurar Government Estate premises was closed by the police on Saturday, after the person, who possessed the lease, failed to pay the rent. According to police, B. Sekar took the hotel on lease. During the last nine months he allegedly failed to pay the rent, which accrued to Rs. 9.5 lakhs. Following this, the Government Estate police received directions from the Secretariat to lock the hotel, they added.
