According to this GO, candidates who secured equal marks in all the three subjects, namely mathematics, physics and chemistry in the engineering stream and biology, chemistry and physics in the medicine stream of EAMCET would get an `equal rank irrespective of their social category.' Their relative priority would be decided at the time of admission in relation to their Intermediate marks and in terms of the GO. But, for the candidates who appeared for EAMCET-2002 and falling in the cluster of equal subject marks, ranks were assigned taking into consideration the candidates' social category also due to a technical snag in the computer. The convener stated in a press release that the procedure laid down in the GO had now been adopted and the relevant reassigned equal rank sent to all those candidates falling in the cluster group of equal subject marks. This rank would supersede the earlier one communicated to the qualified candidates. All other ranks, not falling within the cluster groups, would remain unchanged. The revised ranks would be available in the JNTU website www.jntu.ac.in/eamcet.
