While the DMK was a constituent of the NDA Government at the Centre, the AIADMK was adopting double standards by opposing the BJP in the State and supporting the NDA Government at the Centre, Mr.Sulaiman said addressing mediapersons here. Criticising the AIADMK for not allotting the Vaniyambadi seat to the INL in the recent byelection, Mr.Sait that it was one of the reasons for breaking ties with the AIADMK. Admitting that the "secular" parties in the Statewere weak here, he said the party's endeavour was to form a formidable front in the State along with the Congress. . The two-day national executive of the party, which concluded here on Sunday, passed a resolution condemning "the State-sponsored terrorism in Gujarat' and called for the removal of Modi Government. It demanded an enquiry by a sitting Supreme Court judge into the whole issue. Expressing concern over alleged atrocities against minorities, Dalits and backward classes by the Centre, the executive appealed to all secular forces to come together. It wanted representation for minorities in government services in Tamil Nadu. It welcomed Kalam's candidature for the post of President.
