SC 'no' to editor

By Our Legal Correspondent NEW DELHI June 17. The Supreme Court today declined to entertain a petition from the Editor of the Tamil bi-weekly, Nakkeeran, R.R. Gopal, to quash the summons issued by the Special Investigation Cell, Tamil Nadu, for interrogation in connection with the kidnap of the Kannada actor, Rajkumar, by the forest brigand, Veerappan.

A vacation Bench comprising Ruma Pal and Ashok Bhan, however, asked the petitioner's senior counsel, K. Subramaniam, to approach the Madras High Court for seeking relief.
