Koirala 'sacked'

Kathmandu June 18. The political crisis in Nepal deepened today as the ruling Nepali Congress Party (NCP) overturned an order expelling the caretaker Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and decided to remove his archrival, Girija Prasad Koirala as party president.

The NCP at its 10th general convention called by Mr. Deuba also announced a three-member election commission to hold polls tomorrow for the post of party president. — PTI
