Letters to the Editor
Sir, This has reference to P. Chandrasekhar's letter. (June 20). To say that K.R. Narayanan became President because he was a Dalit is an insult to the person, the Presidency and the nation. Before he became Vice-President and later President, Mr. Narayanan had a long and distinguished record as a diplomat, politician and educationist and he has proved his worth as President.
G. Radhakrishnan,
