Order on coffee sale modified

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI JUNE 20. The Union Finance Ministry has modified its earlier orders which specified that 40 per cent of income derived from sale of coffee grown and manufactured by the seller, with or without mixing chicory or other flavouring ingredients, would be considered as if it were income derived from business.

The modified order now states that with effect from April 1, 2002, only 25 per cent of income derived from the sale of coffee grown and cured by the seller in the country shall be computed as if it were income derived from business.
