At a meeting here today, the Board also cleared acquisition of 50-seater aircraft on dry lease to increase air connectivity in the North-East. It has authorised the management to issue tenders for leasing six Airbus A-320 aircraft. Four of these would be acquired in November 2002 to meet the demand during winter and two would be acquired in March 2003. The Board also ratified the action taken by the management to call a tender for lease of four 5-seater ATR-320 turbo-prop aircraft.
