Special trains for Tiruvannamalai kumbabhishekam

CHENNAI June 21. The Southern Railway has made the following arrangements for the mahakumbabhishekam at Tiruvannamalai: A broad gauge special train (express) will leave Villupuram at 1 p.m. on June 27 and arrive at Tirunelveli at 11 p.m.

The same day, an MG passenger special will be attached to the Tirupati-Villupuram passenger ex-Tiruvannamalai to Villupuram and Tiruchi-Chengalpattu passenger ex-Villupuram to Chengalpattu.

The Pondicherry-Tiruvannamalai passenger will be extended to run upto Katpadi on June 26. It will leave Pondicherry at 4.15 p.m. and reach Katpadi at 11 p.m.

The Tiruvannamalai-Pondicherry passenger will be extended to run from Katpadi to Pondicherry on June 26.

The train will leave Katpadi at 3.40 a.m. and arrive Pondicherry at 10.30 a.m.

In the return direction, the Villupuram-Tiruvannamalai passenger will be extended to run from Pondicherry to Tiruvannamalai on June 27. It will leave Pondicherry at 3.15 a.m. and arrive Tiruvannamalai at 6.30 a.m.

The Tiruvannamalai-Villupuram passenger has been rescheduled to leave Tiruvannamalai at 10.30 a.m., instead of 9.30 a.m. on June 27.

All trains running on the Villupuram-Katpadi section will have extra general second class coaches from June 23 to 27, according to a railway press release.
