New posting for Shankar

NEW DELHI June 21. The former Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary, P. Shankar, has been appointed Secretary in the Planning Commission, in a major administrative reshuffle announced this evening.

The new Defence Secretary is Subir Dutta, who was till now Secretary, Department of Defence Production. He succeeds Yogendra Narain, who retires this month.
