Unas surprises Poobesh

KOCHI JUNE 21. His 20-year experience came in handy for local coach K.A.Unas at the 14th Cusat Open all-India Fide-rated chess tournament here on Friday evening. The 34-year-old 42nd seed, who had a stunning run in recent rapid events here, surprised national junior champion S.Poobesh Anand (Tamil Nadu) in the third round at the Cochin University campus.

The fourth round will commence at 9.30 a.m. and the fifth at 2.30 p.m.
