By Our Staff Reporter

TIRUVANNAMALAI June 22. Elaborate arrangements, including provision of drinking water tanks, toilets, creation of temporary bus stands and mobile health teams, were being made to cater to heavy pilgrim rush, during the June 27 `Mahakumbabhishekam' of the Sri Arunachaleswara Temple here.

The Collector, Dheeraj Kumar, told newsmen that about 15 to 20 lakh pilgrims were expected to participate. Temporary bus stands would be set up in eight . A permanent toilet has been constructed near the Easanya ground and temporary toilets would be provided in ten places.

A salient feature is the provision of a sprinkler system, for sprinkling holy water on the pilgrims from all the four main towers. The water would be sprinkled on pilgrims, for a radius of 30 feet. The health department has arranged for mobile health teams from June 24 onwards. All the primary health centres around Tiruvannamalai would function round the clock. All Indian Made Foreign Liquor shops have been ordered to be closed on June 27.
