Deric Pinto, who runs a chess school in Mangalore, pipped some big stars and moved into sole lead after the fifth round at the Cochin University campus here. He jolted the ninth-seeded U.S. Satheesan and earned his fifth point from as many rounds. Four players Tamil Nadu's R.R. Laxman, S. Arun Prasad, Andhra's P.D.S. Girinath and Kerala's M.B.
