Public cautioned

CHENNAI June 22. The public have been advised to exercise caution when strangers approach them in their homes under the pretext of asking for a glass of water or verifying an address.

The police have urged residents to open the door only after proper verification. They can always pass a glass of water or give directions through a window, a police release said.
