`Unauthorised' temple razed

BANGALORE June 22. The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) personnel with the help of police demolished a temple on the 3rd Main Road in NT Pet (Chamarajpet) that had come up illegally.

Traders in Tharugupet and surrounding areas thanked the BMP for razing the temple, which had encroached a 10 X10 ft. land in the commercial hub.

The operation was carried out by the Assistant Executive Engineer (Chamarajpet sub-division), M. Ramesh, and the Assistant Engineer, T.S.Suryaprasad.

As part of the BMP's drive to distribute identity cards to voters, the designated photography locations (DPL) in the following places will function between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m.

Market; Government High School, Katapa Swamy Math, 1st main road, Bhuvaneshwarinagar, Kempapura Agrahara; Cordial English Nursery School, Binny Layout, Nagarbhavi Road, Govindarajnagar; BMP Community Hall, 13th cross, Devarajanagar, Padarayanpura, and Assistant Health Officers' office, Dasappa Maternity Compound, Dhramaraya Swamy Devasthana ward.
