Sanjay a great visionary: Maneka

New Delhi June 23. The Minister of State for Programme Implementation and Statistics, Maneka Gandhi, today said her late husband, Sanjay Gandhi, was a `great visionary' and the country would have progressed had his five-point programme been implemented in its proper perspective.

He had dared to dream of transforming India as a developed nation 27 years ago.

The Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, the Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dixit, and many senior leaders, including Ministers and MPs, paid floral tribute to Sanjay at his `samadhi' in Shantivan. — UNI
