Paswan calls for ban on VHP

NAGPUR JUNE 23. The president of the Lok Janashakti Party, Ram Vilas Paswan, has called for a ban on the Vishwa Hindu Parishad for its stand on the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Speaking at a programme organised by the Nagpur Union of Working Journalists here today, Mr. Paswan lambasted the VHP for changing its stand when there was a consensus on abiding by the court verdict on the temple issue.

The VHP, at its Kendriya Margdarshak Mandal meeting at Haridwar yesterday, made an about turn on its earlier commitment to abide by the court verdict. — UNI
