Rupee gains 3 paise against $

MUMBAI JUNE 24. Strong exporter dollar sales and heaped-up weekend remittances drove the rupee sharply higher against the U.S. currency today, with the general outlook remaining positive due to waning border worries. In moderately active trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee closed at 48.8800/8850 a dollar, a three paise gain from Friday's finish of 48.9100/9150. — PTI
