New TULF president

COLOMBO June 24. The Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) has appointed V. Anandasangaree, a party veteran and a Member of Parliament, as its new president. Mr. Anandasangaree, who was the senior vice-president of the TULF succeeds M. Sivasithamparam, who died earlier this month. The decision to appoint Mr. Anandasangaree was taken by the central committee at its meeting on Sunday. The Batticaloa district M.P., Joseph Pararajasingham, was appointed the senior vice-president. The party is yet to decide on who will fill the seat in Parliament left vacant by Sivasithamparam's death.
