BJP announces J&K poll panel

NEW DELHI JUNE 24. The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a seven-member election management committee for the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir later this year.

The committee will be chaired by Chamanlal Gupta, Minister in the Vajpayee Government. Its members include Om Prakash Kohli, Nirmal Singh, Deen Mohammad Cheeta, Daya Krishan Kotwal, Shiv Charan Gupta and Pinto Nurbo.
