Sir, Why should the dispute over sharing of Cauvery waters be taken to the Prime Minister if the States concerned can sit across the table and sort it themselves. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, should also go by the facts of rainfall occurrence (monsoon) this year in Karnataka. It is unjustified to say that Karnataka is filling its reservoirs for future use. Where are the facts and figures? Taking the matter to the apex court will not help. The Cauvery river tribunal should sort out the issue. Umesh Satyanarayana,
San Diego, U.S.
